About
We live in a culture where we deal with daily stress and sometimes trauma based on our marginalized identities, whether they be race, gender, sexual orientation, class, or ability level. Combine that with the ongoing effects of the pandemic and the stress of the constant negative news feed, and it becomes easy to feel overwhelmed and lose our balance. Having been in practice for 18 years and tuned into the ways in which our culture affects us all, I'm here to help. Reaching out to a therapist can be scary. I work to create an open, judgement-free environment where we will work on your problems collaboratively.
I help people with issues including anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts, in addition to racial trauma for BIPOC folks and antiracism for white folks. If you struggle with eating habits and yo-yo dieting, intuitive eating may be something I can help you learn. Take a look at my list of specialties to learn more about how I can help.
As a marriage and family therapist, I work with both individuals and couples. I have a systemic approach, meaning I take into consideration the many different relationships and contexts that you live within, including culture (patriarchy, white supremacy, heterosexism, etc.) I hope you'll reach out today!
