My name is Hillary Greene. I have 30 plus years in the psychotherapy field. I am a skilled and experienced clinician treating many problems but specializing in depression and mood disorders, anxiety, stress related issues, ptsd, and relationship related problems in couples, friendships, the workplace, and the family.I work with grief and loss, not only thru a loved one dying but also many types of emotional losses which are sometimes even more difficult. I do a lot of work helping individuals to work thru family of origin issues so they can become "unstuck", and move on with their lives.
I use a combination of cognitve behavioral skills, insite orientation, psychodecuation, assertiveness training, coaching and solution focused therapy to help clients reach their goals. I also work with psychiatry for medication management when needed. I use interventions that best fit the person, along with humor, patience, compassion, and respect.
I am an interactive therapist who will listen carefully, give feedback and make sure i am focusing in on the clients agenda and not my own. I am down to earth, and listen carefully when one technique does not work, another is tried. I emphasize, validation, encouragement, and non judgemental thinking .
