One of the bravest things you can do is start therapy! People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons--feeling sad, scared, anxious, empty, angry, not sure of who they are, wanting to be someone different. But mostly life as they know it is isn't working and they are open to heal, change, and grow. I consider therapy a safe space to explore and try new things in order to make your life better. This process also involves talking about vulnerable topics, which usually requires courage and commitment to the process. Even if someone is not fully sure about therapy when they start, having some willingness and openness is essential.

I treat anxiety, depression, grief/loss, ADHD, stress caused by learning disabilities, and trauma. My approach is Person-Centered and also influenced by attachment, developmental, and structural family lenses. As a therapist I believe your culture is fundamental in the therapy experience and that you drive the therapy process. I partner with you.

In my years of experience I have seen how the therapy process can be an effective way to heal, grow, and evolve. I respect people who commit to this process, who want change in their lives, and who are willing to examine themselves in order to grow!
