My name is Herschel R. O'Brien, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Visalia, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I support individual's pursuit of understanding (self and relationship) and reaching their true potential. Through use of eclectic approaches, I support individual's discovery of their uniqueness and support management of depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and impulse control.
I studied at Chapman/Brandman University for both my undergraduate and master's degrees and have been a practicing therapist since 2017. I am open to working with anyone who is looking to better understand themselves and discover their potential. My clinical experience spans clients of all ages and from all walks of life.
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about collaboration and clearly defining what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building the therapeutic relationship by developing trust and safety and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy.
