About
I am a licensed professional clinical mental health (LGBTQ+ Informed) therapist with 20+ years of experience providing individual/group therapy for substance use and mental health disorders. I specialize in various and eclectic treatment approaches & modalities with compassionate and empathetic emphasis. For example, I use Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies, DBT, Mindfulness, Exposure, and Motivational Interviewing (MI), while assisting those at various stages. With these approaches (coping/behavioral change skills) & telehealth, individuals and their loved ones are able to move towards healthier lives and healthier relationships.
I am comfortable with any stage one may be in with their recovery - whether still active with drugs or alcohol, early recovery or sobriety, and who have experienced relapse with any time or years of abstinence from drugs or alcohol. I also help those who maintain their abstinence with processing complex and/or mental health issues in the therapy sessions.
I am well connected to the recovery and treatment communities which empowers me with the availability to bridge those I assist to other resources of help. When appropriate, I am open with sharing some of my personal experiences with addiction and currently having multiple years of recovery and sobriety.
