As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, client-centered environment for my clients to explore their feelings and patterns of thinking while setting and working toward their personal goals. I utilize evidenced-based practices including CBT. I also love to incorporate play and art therapy techniques in my practice with children and adolescents. I am also passionate about teaching clients about brain-based techniques founded on neuroscience to help them better understand how to manage stress. I offer group counseling for parent support. Christian counseling upon request.
I hold a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, and EMDR. CBT is used to help clients understand their thinking patterns and draw understanding from the relationship between thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and physical responses. EMDR is used to help with trauma processing.
Choosing therapy can be a difficult decision. We often expect ourselves to have the strength to "power through" the adversities of life, but it's not always that easy.
