Hello! My name is Amanda (she/her) and thanks for learning more about my practice. I believe each person has their own unique story and deserves space to be seen and heard. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, loss/grief, living with illness, or in the role of a caregiver or healthcare professional, life can feel overwhelming and even debilitating. You are not alone. My approach to therapy is to create a safe and welcoming space to identify, explore, grow and heal from the hurt you are experiencing. Collaboratively we can explore your strengths, worries and hopes to achieve your therapy goals.
My practice is a person centered, strengths-based, collaborative and active approach. I am EMDR trained and use a trauma-informed approach to acknowledge everyone has a unique story influenced by their experiences. I mainly work from an EMDR and internal family systems (IFS) framework. Some other modalities I pull from include CBT and ACT.
My hope is we are able to work together to build skills and behaviors inline with your goals in a safe and trusting environment, so you can thrive.
