I have nearly 30 years experience in a variety of roles in the mental health field, which I bring into my practice. I've been a therapist for 14 years, the past 5 have been in private practice. I spent the first part of my career as a clinician in outpatient, inpatient, substance abuse treatment, and crisis services settings, as well as critical incident response. I don't have a preferred population; I'm curious about people and their experiences, and it is always an honor to be part of their healing journey.
Every client has their own situation but a common goal - to improve their lives. If you don't have a diagnosis but feel you need some help we can explore what you need and work towards resolving it. I have extensive experience in a number of areas, including PTSD, trauma, Anxiety, attachment issues, Bipolar. I am also able to provide DSM-5 diagnoses.
I appreciate how difficult it can be to start therapy. People are not always ready to jump into painful personal history, but they're ready to make changes to their life. My goal is not to open wounds; I will provide you with a safe place to get started, and you can share your history as you are comfortable doing so.
