I enjoy building relationships and promoting positive changes in people's lives. My clients often struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, gay men's issues, phobias, relationships, sleep problems, self esteem and confidence. I am especially interested in working with gay identified men and people struggling with phobias or OCD, but love working with all sorts of folks and issues. Working collaboratively with clients, I try to help them find alternative ways of dealing with life's challenges. I believe therapy helps people become more authentic and well balanced version of themselves and not be controlled by anxiety or depression.

I have training and experience in using a variety of therapies and use a blend of different methods. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. I strive to be flexible and adaptive to the individual needs of my clients.

I believe that everyone has innate strengths and weaknesses are often strengths over-utilized or used in non-ideally. Together my clients and I process their experiences and find ways they can effectively meet their goals and improve their day to day lives. For client's looking for ERP for OCD: Typically I start with providing info on ERP so you know what to expect. Then we complete a fear hierarchy to find a place to start that is challenging, but manageable. Then we work on exposures (challenging fears without engaging in compulsions, avoidance or seeking reassurance) either behaviorally or through imagined means for thought base OCD/ruminations.
