Hello, my name is Henry Knox. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. For the last 25 years, I have devoted myself to helping you become the best you, that you can be. You are a part of a system and my approach to therapy starts with helping you understand how your family system has contributed to your being the person you are today. I prefer working with adults and I feel most effective working with groups, individuals, couples, and people with addictions as well as Axis 1 and 2 disorders.
Unconditional positive regard is the foundational piece that causes counseling and psychotherapy to be effective. Therefore, you, the client are the most important person in the room. My therapeutic approaches are varied and wide. Among my favorites are Family Systems, CBT, Gestalt, and Solution Focused therapies.
Actually, I was born to work with people as a therapist. As a much younger person, my friends would make a point of telling me about their life and problems. My greatest strength is my ability to listen. I find myself to be very intentional in my efforts to help people feel heard especially when they are being open and honest with me.
