Trauma is an energy that remains stuck in the body and gets passed down genetically- until acknowledged and felt. To heal from trauma/PTSD, we need to understand how the body holds trauma as well as the wisdom and route towards healing.
As a somatic trauma therapist, I help client's cultivate safety and security from within; making sense of body sensations, staying present with emotions and feeling empowered to set boundaries. Trauma makes us feel detached from ourselves and others. Healing from trauma is a process of reconnecting to who we are and feeling safe to be our authentic selves.
It can feel overwhelming to consider therapy again. However, experiencing treatment and support that feels right for us, gives us a chance to reclaim and recreate the life we deeply desire.
