I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I choose to take the attitude that you will improve and find relief from the symptoms that you are currently experiencing. I find great satisfaction in observing the growth of each of my clients. This work is my second career so while I don’t have decades of experience as a licensed therapist, I do have many decades of life experience. I like to work with adults who are motivated to invest in their therapy. The conditions I treat are anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar, Suicidal Ideation, Couples Therapy, and Parenting among others.
My approach is centered around humanistic theory which sees the human as having a unique inner core with positive values that makes a constant effort to grow and actualize all its talents and aspirations. I use several therapeutic tools including Mindfulness, CBT, Psychoeducation, and Talk Therapy.
I present a non-judgmental attitude with optimism. My clients typically find it easy to open up and I seek to validate their experience as authentic. I provide sincere empathy, nurturing, and caring.
