I have 35 + years experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I believe therapy is most effective when you experience your therapist as a safe, accepting person. Initial sessions focus on identifying what prompted you to seek therapy and how you hope therapy will help. Together we explore obstacles and ways to become less ‘stuck’. I use psychodynamic, developmental and relational approaches to understand and address the challenges you face. I also draw on techniques from many approaches to select practical tools tailored to most effectively help you.
Working with children, teens and adults gives me a broad understanding of challenges that arise throughout our lives. I am humbled by each person's search for clarity when faced with inadequate road maps for navigating, and offer a safe constructive place to share and handle difficulties.
