Mental health has always been prominent in my family, making my path to becoming a therapist feel natural. With a passion for helping others and experience with OCD, I understand why intrusive, unwanted thoughts and urges are difficult to talk about. Obsessions and compulsions take up a lot of time and interfere with the things you love. We’ll work together so you can learn not to rely on compulsions and rituals, freeing yourself to do what you love. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD. Our understanding of the nuances of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it.
Additionally, we have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD. When you start with NOCD, you’ll either work with me or be paired with one of my colleagues—this depends on your preferences. We’ll get to know you and create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone. In our sessions, you will find a safe space to share anything. I understand that many OCD themes are difficult to talk about, and I encourage you to discuss them so we can address and face them together.
