When facing stressful events or difficult life changes, individuals often feel overwhelmed and "out of sorts". I provide the opportunity for clients to collaboratively explore the options and opportunities necessary to face these challenges and strive for growth and change.
I work with individuals who struggle with personal relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and grief. I have an eclectic style of counseling which allows me to individualize my approach and directly meet my clients' unique and individual needs. I create a warm and inviting space where clients feel safe and supported.
As a retired teacher, I believe I have a special connection with adolescents and young adults. This population often has heightened anxiety about their future, and they wonder where they "fit" in today's complex world. I use a strength based model where my clients focus on increasing self esteem and independence.
