Grief is a deep sorrow we experience after we are faced with losses in our lives. These losses can be because of someone we knew and loved, or a life transition. These losses can be expected, such as a loved one dying from an illness, or sudden, such as someone dying by suicide. Regardless of the reasons for the grief, everybody grieves differently. It is important to also remember that loss and grief are not only the result of a death. Many people grieve due life changes such as the loss of a job, a marriage etc..
As a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, I can help you work through, and find meaning in your grief process. Although grief has it's stages, it is not linear. We cycle back and forth through our grief. Grief is like a wave that comes on when we least expect it. I can help you navigate these waves while meeting the challenges of moving forward.
