I believe every woman, man and child has infinite value and worth. Whether we have experienced feelings of worthlessness because of our own actions or because of the actions of others, developing self-love is the pathway toward true joy. When we experience trauma, we develop false ideas about ourselves and the world that keep us in a place of fear, anger, and hopelessness. We make decisions based on those beliefs that cause ourselves and others despair. When we learn to love ourselves completely, we can find true healing within ourselves and the world in a deeply powerful way.
I enjoy working with people who are dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues and trauma. My specialties include supporting those who struggle with a lack of self-love, loss, or who are dealing with an immense amount of shame and guilt. I specialize in helping children/teens with Selective Mutism find their brave voices.
I'm trained in treating those who deal with suicidal thoughts, trauma and abuse, codependency, and self-harming behaviors. I'm a certified rape counselor through UCASA. Teens and their parents are one of my favorite populations to work with. I certified in treating Selective Mutism. I use an evidenced program called SPACE for parents to support their kids.
