Welcome. You have taken the first courageous step in seeking help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over thirty-five years of clinical experience. I work with adults and couples who are dealing with: stress, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, life transition issues and copendency. I have a master's degree in Counseling from West Virginia University and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I am a certified Clinical Supervisor and am open to supervising counseling residents as well as licensed professionals.
I specialize in helping clients find their personal path to healing and growth by utilizing a strength based approach that incorporates CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness-based techniques, guided imagery and expressive therapies. I have unconditional regard for my clients and my style is warm and compassionate.
It is my belief that growth and healing happens within the context of the therapeutic relationship. That it is the connection and attunement between the client and therapist that create the conditions for the client to discover new insights, explore feelings and learn new ways of dealing with life’s difficulties.

Groups
Clinical Supervision for Counselor Licensure
This is a small (5 counselor maximum) clinical supervision group that meets bi-weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The group is open to counselors who are seeking clinical licensure supervision for their LPC. It requires an interview and referral to the group by this supervisor. The counseling resident can earn up to four hours/month in group supervision. The cost is $70/session. Additionally, individual licensure supervision is also available. The cost is $100/session.
