Life can be challenging. Navigating your way through the world in a meaningful, authentic way can feel overwhelming and lonely. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about working with individuals, couples and families to effect personal growth and empowerment. I use a collaborative approach so that together, we can understand, explore, discuss, challenge thoughts and feelings and create goals. My focus is to empower your transformation by drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution focused therapy, family systems and hypnotherapy.

When envisioning my ideal client, I am looking forward to working with men, women or children who are seeking to better their lives. My potential clients’ goals can be diverse, from reducing feelings of anxiety to improving quality of life by dealing with depressive feelings. It could also be working through trauma or difficult life situations such as illness, moving to a different state or even having kids and expanding one’s family. In my practice I encourage my clients to think for themselves, I do not give them the answers but instead, I help them reach their own realizations and provide tools to use in day to day situations.

I know how daunting it can feel to search for the right therapist for you. The relationship between a client and therapist is the first step toward fostering healing. My approach with clients is warm, direct, empathic and doused with humor. I love approaching all sessions from a strengths based perspective intermingled with different modalities. My go to are trauma informed modalities, coupled with a behavioral approach. I like to dive deep into what makes you you, to understand yourself fully, and gain clarity as to why you got to this place.

I believe that we grow across the lifespan. It is never too late to look inside ourselves, understand and connect with ourselves and those around us, and believe that change is possible. Even in the most painful, lonely, and frightening life situations, we can still reach out to get help – even if we don’t know what it is yet. I offer a connection and a safe place to explore your inner world, in an open and accepting manner.

Most people seek counseling when they experience pain, feeling stuck in their lives and relationships. The patterns that have worked for them in the past are no longer working or a new life event confronts them with the need for change. Life is sometimes messy and complex as we navigate through the challenges of being a parent, having a career, being a caretaker and keeping our marriages thriving. In working with my clients, my goal is to help facilitate curiosity, while taking a holistic approach in identifying beliefs, patterns and behaviors that may be blocking them from achieving their goals.
