I am a clinical psychologist with an interest in servicing adolescents and adults who are struggling with anxiety and mood disorders. My training has focused on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder particularly as it manifests in difficulty with intrusive thoughts and compulsions in areas of contamination, religious scrupulosity, and sexuality. I additionally work with general and health-related anxieties, depression, and psychological challenges related to medical conditions, such as diabetes and cancer. In my practice I make use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Schema Therapy to offer clients a variety of tools and a process to understand their thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in family, couple, group and individual settings for over 25 years. My sub-specialty is with children and adolescents, as I have served as an elementary and middle school Principal, a non-formal Educator, and a teacher in addition to my many years as a Mental Health Clinician. I have led workshops in schools on the topic of bullying.

I am very fortunate to combine my three loves: people, psychology and dogs. Over the years my dogs have accompanied me to my office and have been of great therapeutic value and pleasure in their interaction with patients of all ages. With over 35 years of extensive counseling experience as a school psychologist, in both regular and special-education, I have the unique perspective, experience and qualifications to help parents and children navigate the often complicated and tenuous years of childhood, adolescence, and family life. I have a subspecialty dealing with women suffering from postpartum depression, helping to guide them and their significant other during their transition to parenthood.
