Hello, my name is Heather Zimmerman, BSW, MSW, LCSW. I pride myself on being a "modern-day hybrid therapist" of sorts, being adaptable to client needs, and having an understanding of a multitude of therapeutic techniques and methods. In many ways, I have been told that therapy does not feel like therapy, but that the healing and growth occurs without the client being totally aware. I strive to provide clients with the utmost sense of care and support through honest feedback and solution-focused care.
I am educated in levels of care ranging from individual and group services, with motivational interviewing and positive psychology being heavily integrated into the trauma approach.
I have worked with clients from ages 8-75 and throughout multitudes of backgrounds. I find working with teens and younger adults to be the majority of my clientele, but enjoy serving the community in general. I thrive in treating behavioral concerns, grief, women's issues, and trauma exploration.
