My name is Heather and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I approach therapy as a collaborative relationship where client and therapist work together to achieve SMART goals while allowing the client to maintain their autonomy. I tend to create an environment where I meet the client where they are in the therapeutic process. I match my client's level of comfort to minimize the possibility of them becoming overwhelmed. The intent is to create an environment where they feel safe to be open to the process and increase the likelihood of them allowing themselves to be vulnerable.
The client and I will develop SMART Goals based on the clients desired outcome which include specific objectives. Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Time-Based
Expect to be asked several questions to gather a complete biological, psychological, and sociological (biopsychsocial) history to develop a holistic and comprehensive understanding of the client's unique life experiences. This process assists with determining the client's baseline and development of treatment goals.
