I specialize in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP) for adults with OCD and anxiety disorders (such as generalized anxiety, panic, and phobias). I'm also experienced in working with depression, bipolar, bulimia and binge eating, and other disorders. In addition, I have an interest in health psychology and enjoy working with people on issues like weight management, smoking cessation, and coping with medical problems.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a treatment approach that can be effective for anxiety and mood disorders. It is practical, structured, solution-focused, collaborative and time-limited. I also have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
My approach is warm, empathic, and collaborative. I provide an individualized treatment plan that is grounded in empirical support. In addition to private practice, I enjoy teaching as an adjunct instructor in CBT for graduate students and clinicians. Visit my website for information about my practice and for a list of recommended resources and readings.
