Hi, I'm Heather! I have been a licensed mental health specialist for a few years now, but I have been doing counseling in hospital and end of life setting for more than ten years. I spent my first career as a chaplain, where I enjoyed working with people from all and no religious background tap into their innate strength in times of crisis. I am committed to helping people with a background of religious trauma and am a committed ally in working with LGBTQIA+ clients.
During our first session, we'll start by getting to know each other. I'll ask you about your background, current challenges, and what has brought you to therapy. This is a safe and open space where you can share your story, express your thoughts and feelings, and begin to explore what you hope to achieve through our work together.
Our focus will be on understanding your unique needs, strengths, and goals. We'll discuss what has worked for you in the past and identify areas where you might need more support. I believe in a collaborative approach, so your input is crucial in shaping our sessions and the direction of your treatment.
