My clinical work has included helping those suffering from a broad range of presentations and trauma related disorders. I have experience working in both the hospital and outpatient setting and share a specific passion for working with individuals suffering trauma related disorders. I am intensively trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), level 1 trained in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) and level 2 trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with both over controlled and under controlled emotional states and trauma related disorders.
Through a collaborative partnership with my clients, therapy sessions are designed to identify the behavior patterns interfering with their capacity for joy filled wholehearted living . Utilizing various therapeutic methods tailored to fit their needs, clients will develop life-changing skills to help them cope with life’s various obstacles.
I believe strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship as an agent of change. I operate from a warm, empathetic, person-centered approach and weave principles of my training throughout the therapeutic process. I enjoy using creativity and experiential techniques in my clinical work and tailor my approach to each client’s specific needs.
