Hello, my name is Heather VanDyke-Cardona and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice. My approach with clients is that therapy is a collaborative effort, we work to find and enhance one's strengths, and to improve areas where there is impairment or suffering. I provide brief, goal-oriented therapy. I will work with individuals or couples remotely via doxy.me.
Additionally, I have been trained as a divorce mediator to assist families to navigate a difficult transition more amicably. This benefits the entire family system to stabilize and heal more quickly. There are 20-25 issues that need to be addressed to have a simple and uncontested divorce. For ethical reasons, I can either mediate or provide couples therapy
For client convenience, I currently will be offering remote only therapy. Currently hours are available by arrangement but generally my hours are booked from Monday-Thursday. Initial visits consist of an introduction, a getting to know you discussion with a brief registration and diagnostic screening.
