About
Therapy is designed to promote total health by addressing your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical needs. The relationship between a client and therapist can be as healing as the therapy techniques provided during the session.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience working at the outpatient, day treatment, and residential levels of care and have 5 years of experience working with the Long Beach Unified School District. I have also specialized in treating eating disorders for the last 4 years. I have experience working with eating disorders, depression and anxiety, trauma/abuse, personality disorders, family and relationship issues.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Family and Consumer Sciences with a Minor in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach and my Masters in Social Welfare from UCLA.
I have experience providing individual, family and group therapy to adolescent and adults. I have a strong background with working with and treating complicated cases.
I have served on a variety of multidisciplinary treatment teams within various levels of care and I highly value their functions as a part of providing optimum mental health care. When appropriate, I can assist with referrals to psychiatrists, physicians, or dieticians.
