Have you been feeling overwhelmed with anxiety? Do you feel like you struggle to stay present in the moment because anxious thoughts sneak in, interrupting your train of thought? Has depression been making it hard for you to feel motivated or show up for your daily life in the way you want or need to? Do you feel like you have just been going through the motions and are ready to start to working towards feeling healthy and joyful again? Are you struggling with painful emotional effects of trauma? Do you feel like it is time to take the brave, gentle, but scary, step toward facing it and healing? That step is where healing starts!
I use a warm, nonjudgmental, Person-Centered, Strengths-Based approach. I am here to support, teach skills & guide during our sessions. We will work to identify what strengths you already have, creating a sense of empowerment, then continue to build from there. I use CBT, DBT, IFS and Trauma-Focused treatments when they fit with your goals.
When we first start meeting we will work on getting to know each other. You'll see my style of therapy. I know it is hard to start working with someone you don't know yet. We will chat about what is bringing you to therapy, sharing with me only what you are comfortable sharing. We will work at your pace toward the goals that you have identified.
