I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Columbus, GA. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing difficult life transitions due to separation/divorce, parenthood, past trauma(s), interpersonal issues, etc. My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative, using mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I have worked with clients spanning from age 6 to 65+. I've also worked with families managing separation/divorce, as well as couples struggling with relationship issues or parenthood. Life transitions can lead to symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as highlight unproductive patterns and coping strategies that can create more of a mess.
My communication style is approachable, kind, and engaging. The goal is always for my clients to feel seen, heard, and understood in a non-judgmental space. Honesty and directness are important aspects of communication in my sessions. I've also been known to bring a little humor now and then.
