I believe that the foundation of change in therapy starts with feeling a genuine connection with your counselor. I strive to create a comfortable therapeutic environment that allows my clients to feel safe in sharing with me their thoughts, feelings, and experiences so that healing can begin. I take a holistic approach to counseling. It is important to get to know you as a whole, including emotional, spiritual, social, and physical health, while exploring past and present experiences with conflicts. I then explore with you what aspects could be contributing to current struggles and how to begin to make healthy changes.
I would describe my style as eclectic and strength based, meaning that after getting to know you I will adapt treatment to your strengths and choose techniques based on what feels best for you individually. Treatment is not one size fits all, so I strive to find the best fit for each client to get their best outcome.
