I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 12 years of experience, providing counseling to adolescents and adults, including individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, medical conditions, perinatal and postpartum depression, women's issues, and adoption-related concerns. I believe that there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach, and I work with each person to find the tools and coping skills that best fit their unique needs. I received my Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University and my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University.
My prior experience as a pediatric and neonatal intensive care Registered Nurse has allowed me to quickly establish empathy and rapport with my clients. My counseling approach includes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solutions-focused therapy, sand tray therapy, and play therapy, among other modalities.
I believe that we can discover the solutions to many of our challenges within ourselves if we feel supported and empowered. My role is to meet my clients where they are and work with them in a safe, accepting environment to help them become their best selves.
