I am a psychoanalytic therapist who works with repetitive relationship problems, anxiety, panic disorders, long-term depression and men's issues. These often show up as poor self-esteem, feelings of loneliness and disconnection, false-self, obsessions and addictions, and unexplained physical symptoms. Sometimes people feel that something isn't right, but they aren't sure what. When friends, family and self-help aren't enough, I take the time to get to know you and listen for what repeats itself in your thoughts and actions.
We will talk about your inner critic, break-ups, misunderstandings, or loss of direction and discover the underlying cause together. My background as a college English lecturer and researcher in film, representation and critical theory leads me to want to work with people one-on-one to express their inner thoughts through the talking cure.
As part of my training in Clinical Psychology I've worked with diverse groups of people including internships at Aids Project Los Angeles, Valley Community Counseling Center, Walter Reed Middle School and with psychiatric outpatients. I can be helpful in working with your psychiatrist if you're struggling with a new or chronic diagnosis.
