Throughout her diverse career, Heather has provided care to individuals and groups of all ages. In addition to her clinical licensure, Heather maintains a K–8 teaching certification as well as certification as a School Social Worker. Prior to working at LifeStance, Heather demonstrated success working in school settings with children and adolescents. She has also served as the Clinical Director of a local Adult Partial Day Program. Clinically, Heather practices from an eclectic, client-centered treatment philosophy which integrates Cognitive Therapy with a range of evidence-based psychotherapy approaches.
Some of the additional interventions Heather offers her patients include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) psychosocial skills, mindfulness practices, narrative therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Heather believes that meeting clients where they are is essential to developing an effective and meaningful treatment relationship.
Based on a thorough assessment of each client's needs, Heather develops an individualized treatment plan focusing on both sustainable symptom improvement and overall wellness. In her free time, Heather enjoys reading and traveling.
