EMDR Intensive Specialty. Heather studied Neuroscience/Psychology at Tulane University 2008 with Master's Neuroscience work and Master's Degree in Professional Counseling 2012. She has 21 years of experience in the mental health field. She has extensive experience in abuse and trauma work as well as the neurological etiology of trauma related disorders. She has worked in a variety of settings and is certified in EMDR through EMDRIA and is a Consultant/Facilitator in Training. Heather gives seminars through EMDRIA on the neurobiology of dissociative trauma. Therapy includes the 8 phases of EMDR with multi-therapeutic interventions.
She provides treatment to independent adults over the age of 18 through individual weekly 3 hour intensives or single hourly therapy. Currently focusing on Complex PTSD, full stress spectrum effects, Codependency, and late diagnosis ADHD. Heather studies under Farnsworth Lobenstine, EMDRIA, and International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.
Heather brings to the table personal experience with overcoming the tremendous obstacles of Complex PTSD and deep personal change. She believes that no matter what it is you're going through, with a positive and safe environment for you to explore, challenge, heal and grow, you can become empowered and experience peace and hope within your life.
