About
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults. My orientation is predominately psychodynamic. However, I tailor my approach to the individual needs of the client. In my work with children, I take a child-centered approach, using modalities such as play or talk therapy to help the child express his or her feelings and experiences that are often difficult to put into words.
I work collaboratively with caregivers to help them better understand the complex underlying dynamics that often make their child’s needs difficult to discern. I help caregivers to explore, reflect, and understand subtle misattunements that might be occurring and help them to build and strengthen their confidence implementing effective parenting strategies.
When working with adolescents and young adults, I strive to help clients navigate life’s complexities through exploration, reflection, and understanding. I work collaboratively with client's helping them to understand the impact past experiences have on current circumstances and to develop effective coping strategies that will help navigate life's stressors.
