My goal as a therapist is to strengthen healthy bonds, relationships and communication within families for children and their parents. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who currently works at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles with a specialization in school age children and developmental disabilities. I have worked extensively with children who struggle with symptoms of ADHD, depression, anxiety and autism who need support in managing the everyday social complexities that they face within their school, family and community environments.
As a therapist and group leader of evidence based interventions and social skills groups, I can support children with emotional regulation and effective communication strategies. I have expertise working in an interdisciplinary medication management clinic and understand how correctly prescribed medication, along with appropriate therapy, can help children.
With an extensive background in dance and movement, I strongly support and advocate for finding ways in which creativity and physical pursuits can help children to create well balanced and fulfilling lives by utilizing extracurricular activities as a way to enhance their ability to communicate and express difficult feelings and to develop self-confidence.
