Every person experiences struggles at some point in his/her life, and sometimes those challenges exceed their current coping skills. At these times, it is important to recognize that help is needed and to reach out to a qualified professional. The issues, needs, and goals of each person will be different, so it is important to understand the unique situation of each individual. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to assess the current situation, develop an accurate diagnosis, plan an appropriate treatment course, and then work together to meet the goals and needs that have been identified.

Psychological testing and assessment can help to accurately measure current functioning and then develop goals based upon identified strengths and needs. It is kind of like putting together the puzzle pieces. Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps to look at thoughts, feelings, behavior, and the environment, and to make changes in these areas.

You have taken the first step in recognizing that you are looking for something different to help you and you are trying to find some more resources. I look forward to hearing from you so that we can talk about ways that we can work together to help you set and reach your goals.
