I'm filled with hope for my clients as they grapple with the pain, hurt, suffering, or fear they are experiencing as they await the time when all things will be made new. I believe all people are created in the imago Dei, image of God, and have incredible worth and value. My desire is to be a conduit in which healing would pass through my life experience and professional training in a way that benefits and brings hope, health, and restoration to those I counsel.
I have experience working with adolescents, parenting issues, marriage, trauma and loss, shame/guilt, anxiety/stress, depression, relationship issues, loneliness, and health/body image issues. I am passionate about sharing the compassionate love of Christ and creatively incorporating all sources of beauty including nature, literature, and art.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. As a native Texan, I attended Baylor University earning a BS in Health Science and a Masters in Health Education. After serving adolescents in a Christian non-profit ministry, I was inspired to earn my Masters degree in Counseling from SFA. I have been licensed since 2001 and I am certified in EMDR.
