We all desire acceptance, love, and to be truly seen by our community. However, our experiences can sometimes make it challenging to feel that love and acceptance. When exploring sexual and gender identities, not living authentically can lead to anxiety and depression. At other times, being part of the queer community is just one aspect of who we are, and it can be a relief to explore other life issues with a counselor who affirms and understands our sexual and gender identity. I am supervised by Beck Munsey, PhD, LPC-S.
I strive to create an open and authentic therapeutic environment where clients feel safe and supported. I believe in the power of genuine connections and use humor as a tool to break down barriers and create a relaxed, approachable atmosphere. My client-centered, collaborative approach emphasizes tailoring therapy to each individual's unique needs and goals.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that individuals are shaped by their relationships, communities, and societal contexts and can integrate mind/body practices to enhance connection to their bodies and emotions, fostering well-being. I have added Brainspotting to my toolbox for supporting clients in processing and healing trauma.
