Throughout the course of our lives, all of us experience challenging relationship dynamics, family expectations, losses, traumas, societal pressures, oppressive structures, and/or shifts in our identity. Due to these, over time we may find ourselves disconnected from our sense of self and no longer clear on what we need, want, or feel. We may struggle to be present or to be in tune with our bodies. We may feel like we're living for others, rather than for ourselves. Therapy is one way that we can process, heal, and understand these experiences in order to re-embody who we are and who we want to be.
I see therapy as the creation of a meaningful collaboration in order to understand patterns and dynamics, re-develop a sense of safety and trust in self and others, and practice new ways of engaging. I specialize in issues related to relationships (including non-monogamy), identity, gender and sexuality, intimacy, life transitions, trauma, and sense of self.
I currently work with individuals both virtually and in-person. I also provide clinical supervision. My style is a combination of listening, reflection, challenging, and humor. Feel free to reach out to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit.
