Hello, I am Heather Dominguez, a licensed professional counselor in the state of Alaska. I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma. I enjoy very much working with couples who are having difficulties in their relationships. I have been a therapist for 26 years and have many tools in my toolbox to work with. I have the Old Tried and True Along with quite a few new tools that I have seen a great deal of success with as well. I would love to sit down with you and have a virtual cup of coffee.
I have a client-centered approach. I am certified in various types of trauma therapy to include EMDR as well as CPT. I have developed a great deal of communication skills that have been found to be extremely effective with my couples. I also include Christian therapy for those who are in need of Faith based counseling services.
Always want to provide a safe environment for the clients to be able to express themselves. I am direct, But I have had to learn to slow my role. I do tend to use humor while not offending due to some of the really tough subjects that my clients are needing to deal with.
