About
It is an honor to join someone’s personal journey as they address challenges and heal from past experiences. I work with clients who are motivated to work on those challenges which have kept them from achieving their personal and professional goals. Many of my clients are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship conflict, and trauma and have come to me seeking relief through validation, skills building, and adjusting their inner narrative. I also enjoy working with women and new mothers with postpartum depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties by offering solution focused support as well as traditional therapy.
I integrate mindfulness, spirituality, and self-care while utilizing cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapy techniques. I am also certified in and practice attachment focused EMDR. Traditionally, I use EMDR to guide someone through processing trauma; however, I also find it helpful with clients who have reached a plateau with traditional therapy.
My personality is relaxed, warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic. I am always willing to “ride the wave” of emotions with my clients and enjoy meeting them where they are in life, not where I think they should be. My clinical style is empathetic yet straightforward and allows my clients to feel safe, engaged, and excited about therapy.
