Hi, I'm Heather Cheshire, LCSW-C. I have been a clinical social worker for 13 years. I aim to utilize talk therapy to help support the emotional growth desired by my clients. I believe in building strong relationships to help clients meet their goals. Most of my experience providing therapy has been with middle school, high school, and college aged youth and young adults. I have experience working with multiple mental health diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, as well as situational challenges like major life changes and family and relationship issues.
I became a social worker because I have a passion for helping people and making a difference in their lives. I am driven by the belief that everyone has the potential for growth and change, and that therapy can be a powerful tool for helping people achieve their goals and live their best lives.
A warm, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation to successful therapy. I aim to make my clients feel welcome, valued, and the expert regarding their life. I hope my client's feelings always feel validated, especially when we are doing the challenging work of growing our skills.
