About
As a dual-trained cognitive neuroscientist and clinical psychologist, I take a holistic approach to treatment focusing on maximizing mental health and well-being for each individual, rather than focusing on “illness”. I specialize in lifespan treatment of anxiety, mood, and impulsive and compulsive disorders with cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and humanistic approaches. By combining evidence-based psychotherapy with a deep understanding of neuroscience I give patients a unique, comprehensive perspective.
I explore dynamic unconscious processes, and work to help people reach their full potential through deep exploration of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic alliance. I work to build trust so my clients feel safe and fully seen and heard, with unconditional positive regard.
I am an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Mount Sinai and received my doctorate from the University of Oxford and Master of Public Health from Harvard University. I completed a NIMH post-doctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai, and trained in clinical neuropsychology at Weill Cornell Medicine in the Department of Neurological Surgery.
