Hello. My name is Heather Alain-Deal. I am an independent licensed clinical social worker in the state of West Virginia. I enjoy working with adolescent youth and have done so for the past 9 years. I am a realist and take that as my approach to the therapeutic process. I will tell it like it is, and we will work through the process of addressing mental health issues together.
My approach to providing therapy is to be as real as possible. I will call you on your stuff and assist you in working through it. I believe that when you are in a therapy session, you should feel like you are talking with a friend and not in a therapeutic session.
I enjoy working with people aged 13-99 years who are experiencing anxiety, depression, engagement in at-risk behaviors, members of the LGBTQ community, and who need overall mental health help.
