Heart of Peace Counseling PLLC is a trauma-informed outpatient mental health practice in Hickory, NC serving children, adolescents, adults, and families ages 3–99 through in-person and telehealth services. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care for trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, family stress, and life transitions using approaches including TF-CBT, AF-CBT, CPT, DBT, and PCIT-informed interventions. Our goal is to create a supportive environment that promotes healing, growth, empowerment, and meaningful change.

I am a therapist and clinical director for Heart of Peace Counseling PLLC in Hickory, NC. I am committed to supporting individuals of all ages as they navigate the complexities of life who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, separation, or adjustments related to life challenges. I specialize in helping individuals heal from PTSD caused by traumatic experiences, such as abuse, neglect, domestic or community violence, natural disasters, injuries, or challenges faced by veterans. My goal is to empower clients to set meaningful goals, embrace change, find peace, and ultimately create a life filled with hope and resilience.

My ideal client includes children, teens, and young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, and difficult life transitions. Drawing on evidence-based approaches like PCIT and CBT, I provide a culturally sensitive, strengths-based environment where clients feel seen and empowered. I help them develop practical skills to manage emotions, improve communication, and build resilience. Together, we work toward meaningful, lasting growth that aligns with their unique experiences and goals.
