In my blended practice of mental health counseling and art therapy, I work with families, adults, and children, supporting them in identifying resources and strengths to regain emotional health. In sessions, we work together using the approach that best suits my clients' needs--- art therapy using hands-on creative projects to gently encourage self-expression and gain insight; cognitive behavioral therapy to positively shift thoughts and feelings; and dialectical behavior therapy to enhance mindfulness and increase resilience. Through this therapeutic work, clients develop ways to resolve their issues--- relieving depression, managing anxiety, positively changing behavior, processing trauma, healing from abuse.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a certification in mental health counseling from Simmons University. I have been working as a therapist for one year, and can work with child, adolescent, and adult clients.

I am sorry if this time I am not taking on any new clients. Sometimes life gets a little tough and it can be helpful to have someone to sort through "stuff". I have been practicing for over 10 years, working with tweens, teens, adults, and older adults. My specialties include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, abuse, and trauma. Tarn was adopted and raised in Southern Vermont on a farm. She has always loved helping others so the decision to become a therapist came easy. She first attended Community College in Vermont before continuing on to earn a BA in Sociology from Smith College in Northampton, MA. Tarn then attended the Smith College School for Social Work where she earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW). She has since worked in a variety of positions throughout her career which have assisted her in becoming an eclectic therapist with a wealth of knowledge in several facets of social work and life.

Everyone has a time in their life when they need help. I have been helping people understand their difficulties and develop strategies and skills to overcome those struggles for over 15 years.
