My role as your therapist is to provide a safe and comfortable environment, while exploring your presenting concerns and symptoms. I strive to be genuine, authentic and humble while exploring your concerns. I am dually licensed as a chemical dependency counselor (LICDC) and as a Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC). Areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, perinatal mood disorders, postpartum depression, relationship issues, parenting stress, existential life stress, and substance abuse/addiction. I work with teenagers, adults, and LGBTQ populations.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervisory designation. I have over 12 years of professional mental health experience & have worked in a variety of settings, including: youth residential treatment facilities, IOPs, community based agencies, school settings & private practice. My specialties include the diagnosis & treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma related disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders & grief. I offer diagnostic assessments and empirically based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

I am a licensed independent social worker in Ohio with certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I received my MSSA from Case Western Reserve University. I have experience working with at-risk adults who are living with severe mental illness in both agency and community settings. My areas of expertise include: moderate to severe mood and behavioral disorders, trauma-related disorders, personality disorders and issues related to grief and loss.

I am a student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at John Carroll University and a Counselor Trainee (CT) in the state of Ohio. I am currently working under the supervision of Michelle M. Paul, LPCC-S at Impact Counseling Solutions. I provide counseling services to adults and teens and have experience treating depression, anxiety, self-harm, and self-esteem issues, substance abuse disorders and co occurring mental health disorders, as well as supporting those who are navigating life transitions, family conflict and interpersonal relationships.

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor in the state of Ohio. My specialties include the treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, personality disorders, and trauma-related disorders. I offer diagnostic assessment and empirically based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but use a combination of therapy techniques based on patients’ needs including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness techniques with an emphasis on social skills training. We also offer therapeutic/relaxation massage, Reiki therapy, and guided meditation.

Everyone has mental health and deserves to have a space to learn, grow, and access coping skills in their own mental health journey. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own lives and as a counselor, it is important to work as a team with my clients to reach their own mental health and wellness goals. I believe that all feelings are valid and it is important not only to have these feelings validated by others, but that it is also important to be able to validate our own feelings as well.

I've had the sincere pleasure of being a therapist for 35 years. Having worked in a variety of settings has prepared me to be able to provide compassionate guidance to people wrestling with mood disorders (anxiety, depression and bi-polar) as well as to those experiencing struggles in their relationships (marital and family). For the past ten years in private practice, I have continued to assist others using a variety of therapeutic approaches: psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, relaxation and coping skills, grief therapy and assertiveness training.

When we are out of balance in mind, body, or spirit, the overall effect is that we don’t feel well. We become plagued by knowing something is wrong, but perhaps do not know exactly what that is, how we got there, or how to begin changing it. As the imbalance worsens, so does our discomfort, and we begin to suffer the effects of emotional dis-ease and physical disease. An imbalance commonly presents itself (for example) as anxiety or depression. When a struggle wages in the mind, its effects are often felt throughout the body in the form of fatigue, distractability, digestive problems, muscle tension, chronic pain, and more.

During the most difficult times in our lives, we can feel isolated, anxious, and depressed, or even unworthy of help. When we are in dark places, we often judge ourselves and worry that others will judge us for our thoughts and behaviors. As a counselor, my mission is to work with adults, couples, families, and children during the most difficult times in their lives.
