My practice is founded on treating clients with a comprehensive psychosocial approach. Most individuals realize medication can temporarily retard the progress of symptoms through symptom reduction. Alone, medication cannot resolve the personal issues associated with long term increases in quality of life. I believe my best professional strengths are an abiding respect for the individual coming into my office, and a reliable resource to explore, educate and inform persons about critical life issues.

I am also offering modified therapeutic services for those impacted by COVID-19 including quarantined and at-risk individuals, service workers, healthcare professionals, grocery store employees and first responders. These services include a text and written communication throughout the day and scheduled phone calls. My desire is for therapeutic services during this time be accessible, flexible and affordable.

Self-defeating behaviors created throughout one's life to cope with difficult situations, such as trauma, gender identity and a lack of validation, can be changed when identified and understood. I have been working as a therapist for over 20 years and have gained much from my clients’ and my own personal experiences. I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and almost 20 years experience helping individuals, parents and families become more successful in their lives and relationships. One of my passions is assisting parents with fostering growth and joy-filled relationships in their homes. Change can be difficult, but often necessary. It is important to realize that change is only possible when an individual is truly motivated to make the effort to grow. Therapy provides a person with empathy, encouragement and understand on how to change negative patterns. The relationship between client and therapist is very important so that each individual can feel comfortable to be open. My focus is improving overall brain and overall health to assist with those issues that may repeatedly cause a person to feel stuck. This includes talk therapy, neurofeedback, diet and nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene and environment.

My group practice, Family Therapy and Renewal Center, provides individual, group, family and couples therapy. I work most often with depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, neglect and trauma, loss, relationship issues, and divorce. I am certified as an EMDR therapist through the EMDR International Association and EMDR is a particular passion of mine, as well as helping parents with raising children and brain health coaching based on the work of Dr. Daniel Amen, MD. I am also a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner and Certified Body Code Practitioner.
