We often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to find and change negative thought patterns which affect feelings and behaviors in daily life. We also teach and use relaxation techniques and coping skills which help improve functioning and deal with stressors on a regular basis.
Healing Waters is bilingual and bicultural in English, Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole! Elizabeth is trained in using TF-CBT to heal trauma, and is a certified Anger Management specialist. Edelle is trained in treating anxiety. Healing Waters will soon be adding other therapists who will also specialize in treating Anxiety, Trauma, Anger, and Stress.
